Zermatt is a small town in the German-speaking section of the canton of Valais. Zermatt is famed as a mountaineering and ski resort of the Swiss Alps. Zermatt has a spectacular rack railway line, Gornergratbahn, which is the highest open-air railway in Europe,  runs up to the summit of the Gornergrat at 10,000 ft offering stunning scenic views. Gasoline-driven vehicles are not permitted in Zermatt, any vehicles within the city limits must be battery-operated.

5.Jungfrau


The Jungfrau is one of the main summits in the Bernese Alps, situated between the cantons of Valais and Bern in Switzerland. The Jungfrau Region consists of four scenic towns: Grindelwald, Murren, Lauterbrunnen, and Wengen, and three eye-catching mountains: Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The Jungfrau region railway station, named Jungfraujoch, is the highest train station in Europe, and hence called as the Top of Europe.The Jungfrau train journey takes visitors from the Kleine Scheidegg mountain through the Eiger and Mönch up to the Jungfraujoch.
