The Princie Diamond is a 34.65 carat cushion-cut fancy intense pink diamond. It was discovered 3 centuries ago in the Golconda mines in India. It is believed to be the third largest pink diamond in the world after the Iranian Crown Jewels, Darya-ye Noor and Noor-ol-Ain. The diamond has intense pink color due to its VS 2 clarity.



6. Graff Pink-$46 million

The Graff Pink is a rare 24.78 carat pink diamond mounted on a ring.The diamond has been described as "one of the greatest diamonds ever discovered".The date of discovery and founder is unknown.Its colour is classified as fancy intense pink, which is a high colour rating for pink diamonds.It was sold to diamond dealer Laurence Graff for $46 million at an auction in Geneva, Switzerland on 16 November 2010, making it the most expensive single jewel ever sold at auction.


5.Wittelsbach-Graff Diamond-$80 million

The Wittelsbach-Graff Diamond is a 31.06-carat fancy deep-blue diamond with internally flawless clarity.It was founded in the Kollur mine in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, India in the mid-1600s.Its colour and clarity are often compared to the Hope Diamond. The original owner of this diamond was Philip IV of Spain. In 2008, it was sold to Laurence Graff for $23.4 million. Graff recut the gem to remove damage to the girdle and altered diamond was then sold to emir of Qatar, sheik Hamad bin Chalifa for a shocking $80 million.


4.Pink Star-$83.2 million

Fomerly known as Steinmetz Pink,  is a diamond weighing 59.60 carat and has a Fancy Vivid Pink colour.The Pink Star was mined by De Beers in 1999 in South Africa.  It took around 20 difficult months for a team of eight people to cut the original 100 carat rough stone into an attractive diamond.The diamond was unveiled to the world on 29 May 2003 in Monaco.


3.Centenary Diamond-$90 million

The Centenary Diamond was discovered in the Premier Mine in South Africa on 17 July 1986.The Diamond weigh at 273.85 carats and was rated as grade D colour, highest grade of colourless diamond. It is the third largest diamond to have been produced in the Premier Mine. The Centenary Diamond was unveiled to the public in final form in May 1991.

The Hope Diamond, also known as Tavernier Blue Diamond, is a Type IIb rated 45.52-carat deep-blue diamond,  founded in the Kollur mine in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Currently the diamond is placed in the Smithsonian Natural History Museum in Washington, D.C, United States.

The Cullinan diamond is the most expensive diamond in the world and the largest gem-quality diamond ever found, at 3106.75 carat rough weight. The Diamond was found on 26 January 1905 in the Premier mine near Pretoria, South Africa.The journey of the diamond from its origin to England faced a lot of security problems due to its immense value that even detectives were placed to carry the stone.The Cullinan was so huge that it was cut into 3 large parts by Asscher Brothers of Amsterdam, and then into 9 large gem-quality stones and a number of smaller fragments.It is currenty owned by British Crown.
